Travel

The station closest to the gay area is Manchester Piccadilly which has good connections to London Euston. There is even a direct connection on weekdays in just over 2 hours.

Public transportation

Most public transporation in Manchester is now united under the Bee Network of Transport for Greater Manchester, a system similar to TfL. Trains are not yet part of it though.

• Travel with contactless:

  • Bus: Only tap when boarding

  • Tram: Tap in at the tram stop where you board and tap out at the final stop. There is no need to tap at intermediate stops if you switch lines.

  • Weeks are always Monday till Sunday to compute the caps.

    As an alternative, you can buy a week ticket in the Bee Network App. You'll need to scan the QR code when entering a bus.
