Busses

The public transportation system in Warsaw is run by the Warszawski Transport Publiczny. Information for tourists is available on an English page on their web site.

There is a 24h ticket that is valid for 24 hours of its validation for 15zl for zone 1 only or 26zl for zone 1 and 2 which may be interesting when spending a day in Warsaw, but there are also shorter term tickets. Similarly there are also 3-day ticket and a weekend version.

It seems impossible for a tourist to use any of the apps to buy tickets as they all seem to expect a polish phone number and few apps are in English (GoPay is in English but still expects a polish phone number).

Warsaw airport

Warsaw airport can be easily reached from the centre by bus. Bus stops are announced in English also.

The baggage claim may be hard to find. The entrance to it is near gate 33.

Warsaw airport is basically one very long terminal.

There are two security checkpoints at the departure hall. If one is very busy, it may be a good idea to go to the other.
