Berliner Luft: A Belgian gay man (Erwin De Decker) living part-time in Berlin and offering guided city walks.
Together with Peter Jacobs he is also the author of travel guides about Berlin, including 360° Berlijn (e-book or paperback) and Parijs - Berlijn (about the first Wold War). These books are a bit old and by now hard to get.

Getting around with public transportation: BVG¶
- There is are apps to buy tickets and/or consult travel information. See above in the app discussion.
- Day tickets are possible, but fairly pricey (City Tour Card formula: 9 EURO for one day, or 41.50 EURO for 76 days, but there may also be other formulas) and this is only for zones A and B, for example not for Potsdam and other surrounding areas, but it still takes you a long way (Grunewald or the Mügelsee is still possible).Full price overview. There is also the 6-day city tour card for €54 which also gives reductions at some attractions (and there are shorter versions of it).
- Day tickets are interesting from 3 rides per day
- The new Deutschland ticket may also be interesting, in particular when the stay is within one month, but it is a subscription so you need to cancel in time. It needs to be ordered well in advance as you can only order it for the next month, and it is not clear you can get it living outside of Germany.
- Citytourcard:
- Public transport in the indicated zones
- Discounts at a number of museums
- Berlin Welcome Card:
- Public transport
- Discount at 200 attractions
- In the "all inclusive" version, access to 30 attractions for the specified period (and there is also a formula without public transport)
