Bookings

  • Lodging: LSE Rosebery Hall from Friday 25 August till Monday 11 September.

  • Transportation:

    • Train to London: Friday August 25, at 10:52, arrival 11:57, coach 15 seat 51
      • 8:53 to Quievrain, arrives in Brussel-Zuid at 9:22
        • Bus 310 at 8:35, arrives at 8:47, leaves little time so not ideal.
        • And there is really almost no other option except taking a very early one that might put me on an earlier train.
        • But missing the train is not a disaster as there is a next one at 09:04 towards Kortrijk which still arrives at 09:31.
      • Earlier option: 8:36 to Oostende, arrives at 09:05.
        • Bus 310 at 8:05, arrives at 08:17, with nearly 20 minutes to spare
    • Train from London: Monday September 11, at 17:04, arrival 20:05, coach 7 seat 51

Schedule

  • Friday August 25

    • Arrived in London around noon and dropped the luggage in Rosebery Hall

    • Lunch (pizza and beer) in Craft House on Exmouth Market and a short exploration towards MA1: The Bunker

    • Check-in around 3pm

    • To Fetish Freak, bought a dark blue shirt and a kilt

    • Evening in Soho: Meal at Maox, some drinks in The Kings Arms

    • Back on Exmouth Market: Drink at Mikkeller Brewpub London

  • Saturday August 26

    • Morning: Walk towards Barbican Centre and Shoreditch and Brick Lane

    • Lunch on Exmouth Market at Black Bear Burger. Burger was OK.

    • Afternoon at MA1: The Bunker

      • Boyz and Sirs was great. I got spanked properly twice and had other sex too. The event was well attended.

      • Blackout in the evening is more a fuck-and-suck fest than SM though there was still some spanking action. I left around 7:30pm without further spanking action.

    • Evening meal on Exmouth Market at Necco Hapanase bar and cafe. Certainly OK.

    • Followed by a short walk through the area.

  • Sunday August 27

    • Morning: Walk via Camden PAssage to Colombia Road Flower Market

    • Afernoon: BBQ at Jörg, a colleague.

  • Monday August 28: Bank holiday

    • Walk along the Jubilee Walk. Tower Bridge was closed unfortunately so I had to skip part of it.

It turns out that there are various versions of the map on the internet that do not completely follow the right trajectory.

    • Dinner at Central Station (burger and Brie wedges, OK quality)

    • Some more drinks in Babel Beerhouse in the King's Cross area.

  • Tuesday August 29

    • Walk from Highate to Archway over Hampstead Heath

      • Trails on the map do not always correspond with reality

      • On some places the trails are more like a maze, e.g., around the cruising zone in Hampstead Heath, and it is impossible to exactly follow the map.

      • You have to pay to enter the Male Bathing Pond and nude recreation is no longer allowed

      • Highate Cemetery is not free and there is only one entrace, between both parts, so it is not possible to simply walk through it as part of a walk.

    • Evening meal at Nando's close to The Bunker. Not really good.

    • MA1: The Bunker CP evening.

      • Not nearly as good as Boyz and Sirs. It is more cruising and less spanking, also clear from the way peoiple are dressed. There was only hand spanking, and probably too many bottoms. I didn't get spanked.
  • Wednesday August 30

    • Walk in Epping Forest from Theydon Bois to Leytonstone

      Remarks:

      • In the very first part, the path is overgrown and it my bettertwalk throug the meadows instead. Looking at the tracks it seems to be what most people do.

      • The second half is not nearly as nice as the forest.

      • It may make sense to reverse the walk next ti s dn Bois is a pretty village, or look for a loop that is an extension of the Oak Trail for a longer walk.

      • To shorten a walk from Leytonstone to Tehydon Bois one could use the other part of the Oak Trail loop and still have a nice impression of the forest.

    • Later in the afternoon: Some drinks and then a burger at The Birds in Leytonstone, an LGBTQ-friendly pub. The food was not spectacular but not bad either.

    • Evening: Rupert Street Bar in Soho.

  • Thursday August 31: Somewhat rainy day, though it didn't rain as much as forecasted.

    • Morning: Walk through central London: Temple, Leak Street, Borough Market

    • Lunch on Borough Market (paella)

    • Afternoon: Covent Garden Health Spa

      • Spankingdate with Whappz profile Boxers. Good but a bit short.

      • Likely cought a cold in that place that hit me on Saturday and Sunday

    • Evening: Bermondsey Beer Mile: Bianca Road Brew Co and Craft Beer Junction. The latter imports American beer. The former had a spectacular Stout.

  • Friday September 1: Still some thundery showers in the morning

    • Walk in Brixton: "Brockwell Park, Dulwich Park and Sydenham Hill Woods loop counterclockwise from Brixton station (13km)" from the prepared walks.

      • Counterclockwise gives a nice view over London early on in Bromwell park, but clockwise might have given more of the nicer parts in the second half as the lower part of Brockwell part is not that spectacular and as this left a lot of walking along roads. But then so is the connection between Brockwell park and Dulwich college.

      • A bridge and footpath closed in Sydenham Hill and Wood, so I had to walk through Dulwich to Dulwich park.

      • Torrential rain at some point

    • Early evening: Late lunch/early dinner at Golden Chippy Fish&Chips in Greenwich.

    • "Punishment Block" in The Lord Clyde in Deptford.

      • Too many bottoms so I ended up topping

      • Not too many people, partly due to a train strike and partly due to a split between the two owners of the club after it became clear that one had taken money out of the business while the other was in hospital.

  • Saturday September 2

    • Morning till 1pm: Walk along Leadenhall Market, Saint Dunstan-in-the-East, Tower and Tower Bridge, Saint Katharine Docks

    • Afternoon: "Boyz and Sirs" at MA1: The Biunker. I had a great afternoon, but in retrospect it was a bad idea. I should have waited another week as now my ass was very damaged. Got a few short but hard canings by the same person, 6 with a heavy tawse and then nipple- and ball torture with an older leather couple who also used a rather heavy leather strap on my shorts. Also gave a spanking.

    • Evening: "The SMOKE Yard" at The Lord Clyde, a leather event. Again not that busy and left in time due to possible difficulties with public transportation as there was a train strike. Got some nipple torture and some fun talks.

  • Sunday September 3: Heat started picking up

    • Walk "Bethnal Green to Tottenham Hale over Olympic Park and Walthamstow Marshes" longer version with the loop around the reservoirs, but changed plans at the North end of Lockwood Reservoir and returned along a group of breweries in that area.

    • Evening meal in Chinatown

    • Some drinks with Kevin Menten at Kings's Arms and Comptons (where there was a leather night)

  • Monday September 4

    • Walk along the Regent's Canal, starting from Limehouse

      • There were a few re-routings along the way

      • It is not possible to do the last part to Little Venice (from the end of the second tunnel) over the towpath as it is for private boarding only. It is however worth to pick up after that, cross the bridge and go towards Paddington.

      • Drank on the way at 3 Locks Brewery Taproom in Camden, visited the markets and ate at one of the doof courts. I also checked out a store leather boots and coats that claimed to be a New Rock store, but didn't really trust the store (and needed nothing anyway). I'm not sure if the boots were real or fake, and don't know where the jackets came from.

      • At the end of the trip: Returned from Paddington to the Warwick Avenue area and had some beers at Real Drinks. The airco in the store/bar was very welcome.

    • Evening meal at Brick Lane Tandoori

    • Tube to Embankement, visited the large squares and had a drink in Halfway to Heaven with a talk with a very horny Romanian man.

  • Tuesday September 5

    • Walk from Wimbledon to Richmond through the Wimbledon and Putney Commons and Richmond Park

      • Some changes to the trajectories. Paths on the first hill in Richmond Park are also very unclear.

      • Fish&Chips and some beers in Tap Tavern in Richmond.

    • Evening meal at the Bike Shed Moto Co.. It was not as good as I expected from the reviews.

    • Drinks at King's Arms and Comptons with Kevin and two of his friends.

  • Wednesday September 6

    • Day program: Walk from Woolwich to Greenwich based on the prepared walk "Thames Barrier and Greenwich: From Woolwich Dockyard station to Greenwich station".

      • Starting from Woolwich itself instead of Woolwich Dockyard was a very good idea. It is very easy to reach with the Elisabeth Line and the way to the Thames along the arsenal and first part along the Thames is beautiful.

      • I had a lunch at Richard The First in Greenwich: the very English Ploughman's Lunch and some good beers.

    • Light evening dinner at Pho Ga in Exmouth Market

    • Some drinkds at BrewDog Chancery Lane

  • Thursday September 7

    • Walk through Regent's Park and Primrose Hill

    • Light lunch at the Greek restaurant Lemonia near Primrose Hill

    • With the tube towards Vauxhall and a walk along the Thames to Battersea Power Station

    • Some beers at Battersea Brewery

    • Early light dinner at Pizza Pilgrims on Exmouth Market. Decent pizza, but nothing spectacular.

    • Musical "The Book of Mormon" at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

  • Friday September 8

    • Morning: Walk along Oxford Street, through Hyde Park and Holland PArk

    • Lunch at The Mall Tavern in Notting Hill. Good food and excellent beer.

    • Continuing through Sourth Kensington with a stop at the Mormon Hyde PArk Chapel near Imperial College

    • Dinner with Kevin and David in the Peruvian restaurant Lima. Good food but expensive, and the server made a mess of it.

    • Gay bar visit in Soho: King's Arms and Comptons

  • Saturday September 9

    • Morning: Visit to the Welcome Collection. It was also a good way to escape from the heath.

    • Afternoon: Boyz and Sirs, to try to get a birthday spanking despite still being very bruised from the previous week. Got spread over the afternoon a nice 9 times 6 of the best with various implements, and also some other play.

    • Evening:

      • Drink at Comprons with Kevin and two of his friends

      • A nice meat in a French restaurant in a building basement: Brasserie Zédel, again with Kevin, David and Camal.

      • Back to Comptons

  • Sunday September 10: Feeling a little ill and extremely tired. It could be due to the heath, but it is possible that internal inflammation after the heavy canings also played a role.

    • Morning: Canary Warf and the ISle of Dogs, then through the pedestrian tunnel to Greenwich. Walking along the Thames to New Cross.

    • With public transportation to Bermondsey and a visit to The Kernel Brewery Arch 7 Taproom.

    • So exhausted that I interrupted the day and went to sleep for 2 hours. I felt much better afterwards

    • Back to the Bermondsey Beer Mile: Moor Beer Vaults and Taproom and a last beer at The Kernel Brewery Arch 7 Taproom.

    • Evening meal at Hobson's Fish&Chips Soho in Soho. It was not as good as I expected.

    • Walked a bit through Soho but as I was tired I went back to Rosebery early.

  • Monday September 11: Going home...

    • Walk along Saint Paul, crossing the Thames, to Westminster Bridge and along Parliament Street to Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Soho.

    • Pizza at Santoré on Exmouth Market. The soup and pizza were pretty decent.

    • Some last beers at Mikkeller Brewpub London

    • Picking up luggage, walk to Saint Pancras and travel home...
