Brewery taprooms

  • Shilling Brewing Company: Brewery with bar (menu on untappd)

  • Taphouse Glasgow: Open noon till midnight. East from the centre and not so far from the Kelvinbridge park.

  • WEST on the Green: More German-style though, also craft brewery

  • Drygate Brewing Co: Close to the Glasgow Necropolis

  • The Grunting Growler: Close to Kelvingrove. But not too many tables, mostly take-away?

  • Innis & Gunn taphouse: Brewery from Perth with taphouse in Glasgow? I find it now in Edinburgh and as a macrobrewery?

  • Firehouse Glagow BBQ joint. Probably not really a brewery, they only have one house beer. And rather far north-west from the centre.

  • Brauhaus Glasgow. Probably not really a brewery, they only have one house beer. Close to Glasgow Central Station.

Other breweries

  • Glasgow Beer Works: East of the centre and regular work hours so likely no taproom

  • Glagsow Punk Collective (homebrew)

  • TBC Glasgow (homebrew)

Interesting beer bars

  • Inn Deep: A bit outside the centre though, near Kelvinbridge station under railway arches.

  • Koelschip Yard: South of the city centre. Said to be very good for sours.

  • Good Spirits Co. Wine and Beer

  • Wee Beer Shop: Despite the name, it is possible to drink onsite

  • The Raven: But this is also a sports bar, so not a good choice during the World Cup. Open from noon though.

  • Curous Liquids

  • The Allison Arms: Close to Koelschip Yard and Kelvingrove

  • Blackfriars: In Merchant City so close to my 2026 hotel. Food and drinks.

  • Brel: Belgian beer bar

  • Bon Accord: Whisky and rea ale pub

  • The State Bar

  • The Griffin: Run by the Isle of Skye brewery

There is a Manchester craft beer tour but it is only on Saturdays so not really an option in 2026.
