Hello everyone! I have a little question: In the anki deck sentence
"朋友住得再远也可以给他们发红包了."
"We can send red envelopes to friends no matter how far away they live."
Where is that "no matter" character in the sentence, or how do we know it means "no matter"?Mandarin Blueprint
It's all about the 再...也 construction. It's fairly advanced, so don't worry about mastering it just yet. Just keep an eye out for it in future.

Hi Luke & Phil. In Level 24, there is a vocab in context sentence, "我给狗买了一条鱼". Could it be written as "我买了一条鱼给狗" instead? Thanks!

They are both OK grammatically, but the emphasis feels different. The former is focused on what you gave the dog whereas the latter is focused on the buying of a fish. Also, in the second construction, you could add an additional verb indicating what the buying of the fish was *for* (给), for example, "我买了一条鱼给狗*吃*".

What usage of 起 is this? I suppose it's either either 'preliminary assessment' or 'beginning to do an action' (as opposed to getting/waking up).
