这些钱对他来说不少。
English:
This is no small amount of money in his opinion.

钱 qián - money
Sentence：
不少面被狗吃了。
English:
No small amount of noodles were eaten by the dog.
*Sentence：
我女朋友就吃得少，所以身体不太好。
English:
My girlfriend doesn't eat very much so she isn't too healthy.
Top-Down Words:
少 shǎo - few (as opposed to many)
所以 suǒyǐ - so, as a result
就 jiù - exactly, just
Usage 2 - "less, seldom (adverb)":
*Sentence：
少说话多做事。
English:
Less talking, more doing.

做事 zuòshì - do work, do a deed, handle affairs

这些钱对他来说不少--Can you guys parse this sentence to get the translation you provide? I found this very difficult though I believe I know all the words. I especially don't get 对 in this construction.

这些钱 - Sorry, I'm not sure I get why 些 （plural）is used with money (uncountable) unless there's no such a thing in Chinese? Thank you.

Chinese doesn't distinguish countable and uncountable! Weird to get used to at first but it's actually way simpler :D

to me this sentence is saying there are more kids in class today than yesterday. tho it is the opposite in the translation. i think its the use of 比 i dont understand.
