How does the 应该是土豆吧 mean 'eating potatoes is better'. Where's 吃 and waht does 应该是 mean here? Thanks!

应该是 just means "should be". This sentence is part of a larger context, and it will make more sense then.

In the sentence

吃土豆牛肉不是更好吗?

Do I understand correctly that no conjunctions or commas are needed here between 土豆 and 牛肉?How do we distinguish separate items in a list if we don’t use commas?
