Hi there, in the above sentence, does '快' indicate that it's happening now?
And so without '快' the sentence would be 'My mum drives me crazy'?.

快...了 indicates "about to." Like, "If my mom says one more thing she'll drive me crazy." It hasn't happened yet, but it will happen "fast" (快) from now.
