I ended up making a scene with a saber-toothed cat after seeing that cat on an ad for the movie "10,000 BC" and reading that they lived 10,000 years ago.
I also found a song with J. Bieber in it called "10,000 Hours." Maybe someone would find J. Bieber helpful for this scene.

The only association I have for 10,000 - so as to avoid just trying to remember that number (1,000? 100,000?) is the Grand Old Duke of York who had 10,000 men, he marched them etc.
But that's a lot of extra props (the duke, the men, the hill).
Any other ideas?
