Vocab Unlocked from 所: 所以 - 所有
Congratulations!
New Word(s) of Two-Characters or More Unlocked!
The word(s) below have a corresponding flashcard in the Hanzi & Words deck associated with this level. Before you end today's study session, add an image to the card (how to add images to flashcards). After that, unsuspend the card(s).
所以
Usage 1 - "so"
Living Link Suggestion(s):
- Sounds like "soy" (suǒyǐ). Chinese food contains a lot of "soy" sauce, THEREFORE it's delicious!
- 所 has the same pronunciation as 锁 suǒ, which means "lock/to lock". 以 yǐ Sounds like "ye", like the old-timey way of saying "you". I'm picturing a policeman or bank manager telling a thief: "We suǒ (lock) things away SO ye can't steal them"
所有
Usage 1 - "All"
Living Link Suggestion(s):
- A place that has EVERYthing. Heaven? Disneyland? Neverland?
