I think in this case "as well as" means "along with" (rather than "as good as").

Anubis is sitting on his Golden TOILET in the middle of the living room. he's taking a long time so he says to himself, I might AS WELL AS put some music on. only white noise comes on. He says to himself as long as some noise is on, I don't mind. I need to wipe my bottom now. He reaches for the toilet paper only to discover two large razor blades. Anubis says welp! I might AS WELL AS use them to clean my self up.

I think of this character (与) as 马 horse with part of the horse head (𠃍) missing. The horse head (𠃍) becomes just a razor blade.
