口语

Usage 1 - "spoken language"

Living Link Suggestion(s):

  • Search for images of people talking in a comic, since you know it's SPOKEN LANGUAGE from the talk bubbles.

语言

Usage 1 - "language"

Living Link Suggestion(s):

  • Perhaps the greatest manifestation of LANGUAGE that mankind has produced is literature.

汉语

Usage 1 - "Chinese (the language of Han)"

Living Link Suggestion(s):

  • The language of the Han people is CHINESE.

语法

Usage 1 - "Grammar"

Living Link Suggestion(s):

  • GRAMMAR is merely our method of using language.

外语

Usage 1 - foreign language MW:

Living Link Suggestion(s):

  • The language from outside your country? That’s a FOREIGN LANGUAGE!

  • Hey. WHY YOU (外语) speak that way? All FOREIGN?

It was hard for me to find a good image for 汉语, so I thought of this silly sentence which can be used with a picture of Han Solo and Chewbacca:

If wookies speak the wookie language, does Han Solo speak the "Han language": CHINESE?

I was adding these new words into my cell phone app and my eyes drifted to 手语. The meaning is so obvious. Another new word with no effort.
