The Mountain is seated at a table in the backyard of my "ei" location in the evening. He is waiting in eager anticipation for Snow White. And here she is, carrying his birthday cake with the candles alight! She is singing "Happy Birthday to you" as she places the cake carefully in front of The Mountain, and he is smiling ear to ear. Even Snow White's pet owl has come to join in the festivities, perched on the chair next to Snow White. When the owl hoots, "Who?" Snow White answers, "The Mountain!" When the owl hoots "How old?" she counts the candles one by one, to get his AGE correct. The Mountain counts the candles with her, to check that she has gotten his AGE correct.

Location: Faith Inn (former office) [Backyard]
Actor: Shao Feng (character from the movie Swordmaster)
Props: Mountain and Bat

I'm leaving work and I use the back exit. As I walk out to the back lot, there stands the great swordmaster Shao-Feng. He tells me that he has learned of my interest in China and wants to show me the history of his clan, the greatest swordmasters in all of China. Suddenly there is a great darkness and we are transported to a snow covered mountain in China. As we enter a cave located deep inside the mountain, I see bats hanging upside down sleeping. Shao Feng shines a light on the wall of the cave and there is a history drawn on the wall of all his ancestors with numbers above them. I ask him what all the numbers mean, and he tells me that those are ages at which they were granted Master swordsman status.

How to represent age without using English? Counting candles for a birthday cake? A birthday card with a number on the front? Filling in age on a form?

Superman (su-) is in the bathhouse (4th tone) of the Dreadfort (-ei), blindfolded with a sleep mask (夕 component). All his friends are around him, and countdown to 3 before pulling the mask off him. He sees a giant cake with Mt. Doom (山 component) sitting on top of it, erupting in flame. "We weren't sure of your AGE in Earth years, so we just went all out with the candle," one of his friends says.
Superman smiles and replies, "It's the thought that counts," before blowing a mighty frost breath and extinguishing Orodruin's flame.
