"I-Beam". In German it is a "Double-T Joist" (Doppel-T Träger). Funny how the perspectives were different. However, it's for sure heavy-weight part used for stabilizing and support acts.

How about a construction worker with an i-beam on one shoulder? (could be the one from the village people).

Maybe it's two cubicles viewed from above?

I'm going with an office cubicle/bullpen (because people can work on either side of the dividing partition).

I also had a hard time with the I-beam and thought for a while about the appearance of the component. How about an axle (from a car or train) standing on it's side? From there, my mind jumped to Axl Rose. Yeah, it's one step removed, but Axl as a prop has become easy to remember and incorporate in my scenes.

I immediately thought of the jacks/I-Beam things from Donkey Kong (see ~2:45 time here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp2aMs38ERY).

I've gone for a dumbbell, which could come from a work out
