Introduction

This topic describes the Control Expert NTP (time stamp) parameters for the BMXCRA31210 module. To access these parameters on the Control Expert NTP tab, double-click the communication module in the local rack.

Access the NTP Tab

To access the NTP tab, open the Bus Editor, double click on the CRP module and then select the NTP tab:

NOTE: For time zones that support daylight saving time (DST), the default value is enabled (checked). It is disabled (unchecked) for all time zones that don't support DST.

Valid IP addresses for NTP servers:

  • 1.0.0.0 ... 126.255.255.255

  • 128.0.0.0 ... 223.255.255.255

For any other IP address, a detected error is reported. Addresses 224.0.0.0 and higher are experimental multicast addresses. Addresses starting at 127 are loopback addresses.

Setting the Time Zone

Set the time zone in the Project Settings window:

In Control Expert, select Tools > Project Settings.

Expand the General menu in the Projects Settings window, and select the Time setting.

Select the appropriate values for each time zone property.

Click Apply to save changes, or click OK to save changes and close window.
