I get either to codgel someone to death or to support/defend them when looking up this one. What does it mean?
1: "beat with a cudgel.
"they would lie in wait and cudgel her to death"
2: "to take action to support or defend a person, idea, political movement etc."

I recommend checking Pleco for examples sentences instead of just English definitions:
捶⧸搥
VERB
beat (with a stick or fist); thump; pound
捶背
chuíbèi
pound sb.’s back (as in massage)
捶鼓
chuígǔ
beat a drum
捶门
chuí mén
bang on the door
I'm not seeing that second definition in Pleco. Perhaps rather rare.

Hi,
I am sure this will have been answered elsewhere but can you run Pleco in your browser somehow? I've only got the app on my phone (quite inconvenient having to find the rare character via Pleco on phone if working on desktop and so very keen to avoid that)
Just to confirm the definitions I wrote were from searching the English keyword's meaning rather than the character.

I found this on Pleco's forums about running on desktop (I'd never done that before myself): https://www.plecoforums.com/threads/desktop-version.6219/
