豕 NEW:Pig. This component comes from ancient Chinese meaning swine or pig. It is pretty unique in terms of its components, so we’re not going to break it down any further than this, but considering how often you will write characters like 家,象,and 像, we’re quite confident it won’t be a problem for you. Not to mention, it's quite fun to write!

One of my calligraphy teachers told me that in the old days a pig would be kept in the house. (didn't want it to get stolen).

That's right! Many times, they were under the floor boards, so the *pig* was under the *roof* :D.

Janet Jackson (ji-) is outside the entrance at the Alpha House (-a) helping the brothers do some spring cleaning when she hears some amazing singing. It starts faint but then grows as it appears to be coming from underneath a tin can (宀) nearby. After lifting the tin can Gunter the Pig from the movie Sing (豕) pops out singing a cover from Luther Vandross…”I’m not meant, to live alone…turn this house into a HOME…” Sang it Gunter, sang it!
