耂 NEW: Moses. This component represents the idea of being very OLD, and while biblical stories suggest that Moses lived to the ripe OLD age of 120, he also is a part of one of the OLDest stories still commonly known today.
日 Sun

This character is placed after a verb or adjective to indicate the person or thing that does it, like how we would call someone who translates is a “translator”.

Moses is in my classroom at the "e" school where I work. The sun is streaming in the windows and making it difficult for him to focus on the lecture he is giving the students on plagues. George the custodian comes in with his toolbelt and can-DO attitude. When he notices Moses' discomfort, he quickly marches over and adjusts the blinds so that the sun is no longer in Moses' eyes. Moses gratefully shakes George's hand. George shrugs his shoulders, points to himself, and explains that as the custodian, it is his job to be the DO-ER in the school, to get things done.

The quintessential old guy in the Bible was Methuselah, although when I looked him up he doesn't seem to have any distinctive features or possessions. I already have the 10 commandments for 您 so I want to keep away from Moses. In ancient Greek myths Tiresias is the ancient guy.
Also Sybil, who was so old she was carried in a basket - now there's a vivid image.

A very good idea for a keyword connection (& subsequent prop for this character), thank you!

Is this a little like adding 'er' to an english word? eg, carpenter, mugger, lawyer, sweeper and so on.
Exactly!

It sounds a bit like wallah in India (e.g. chai-wallah)

Justin Bieber is in the bedroom of Eastlake Parade and trying to sleep but the rising sun is blaring through the windows. Justin can’t be bothered to do anything about it but luckily Moses is here to save the day. He strolls in and closes the blinds, and Justin thanks him. “No problem” he says “I am a DO-er and I get things done, just like how I saved all those animals”. Justin says “wasn’t that Noah” and Moses says “yeah whatever” and walks out.

Just wanted to make two points here, that I think separates this course from any that I've ever taken online over the years and a fantastic model:
1) Your team is incredibly organised both mentally and technologically to save links/bookmarks to all that is re-asked. You must get the same questions over and over again, as people move through the course. With what I can see, with ease, you are quickly able to answer our questions, with patience and kindness.
2) I love hearing my name in the podcasts! That is special for me. Although our Mandarin is not as good as yours, yet, it shows the willingness and courage to include our comments and hopefully help others to further their creativity. I know I gain from others' comments and sometimes I just can't think of a Living Link. It's one of the best business models I've seen. You guys are very humble, another great strength!
