This character is used both as a noun and a verb. When it is a noun, it means "number" and is pronounced 4th tone, and when it is a verb it means "to count" and is 3rd tone. We'd suggest making a scene that takes place in both the 4th tone and 3rd tone rooms, especially considering that "number" and "to count" are so closely related in meaning. In fact, 数数 shǔshù is the act of counting in and of itself! (i.e., saying out loud or in your head 一 二 三 四 五...).

I got my tap dancer wearing a rice hat & bright pink lipstick to dance to Mambo No. 5 in this one, claiming he saw Shrek in a dream :)

Sherlock Holmes, backyard (4th tone), childhood home, having a party and they are playing a guessing game. Pink and Fred Astaire are also involved with the game. Sherlock brings out a bowl of rice. First, they have to guess by saying a NUMBER how much rice is in the bowl, and when it's done, they are moving to the living room (3rd tone) table and they will COUNT the rice together.

Halle berry 女 carries a bowl of rice米, overhead waitress style, out to serve shrek and the tap dancer攵. They say that they ordered a NUMBER more bowls of rice, she replies "I'll go back in and COUNT the rest"

I decided to make 娄 a prop called the rice vendor and ⺙is a task master (comes in handy in a lot of places)
In my childhood bathroom, I see Shrek (shu- actor) being the careful taskmaster (⺙) COUNTING & RE-COUNTING every NUMBER the rice vendor (娄) told him

Shrek (shu-) is in the bathroom (4th tone) at my childhood home (-Ø) balancing a bowl of rice (米), wearing a red dress (女) and tap dancing (攵). He thinks of a NUMBER in his head...ah 五。Then spins around 五times while COUNTING to 五until he reaches his bedroom. He lays down dizzy and exhausted.

I love this one. First there's Marilyn Monroe (my Nu prop) tapdancing with a bowl of rice on her head. Then the tapdancer appears next to her. Then Shrek pops in while tapdancing. There's a voiceover like in Sesame Street: One! Two! Three! Three in number!
