My Chinese friend says they don't use 前边 ever. Is that something that is only used in different regions? Maybe here in Henan they don't use it ever?

its strange out it worked out the the word for before ended up making words that mean forward and front.

What? It seems normal to me. In english too "before you" means "in front of you".
