Lesson 3 of 3

Pick a Prop 穴

Pick a prop to represent

This prop will almost always be placed on the top, with shorter 4th and 5th strokes. Imagine it as a huge hole, even better a black hole, and make it so that it's a hole in the ceiling when it is on top!

I'm going with a manhole.

Denis Aganin

Portable hole from Who framed Roger Rabbit

Al (泰光) Roy (王)

Acme hole
Hole puncher

Tyson

The appearance reminds me of Davy Jones from "Pirates of the Caribbean".

Looks like a spaceship beaming something up. A spaceship might be a good fit for several characters that contain 穴, such as 空 and 究.

This character looks like a highway road with a road sign hanging above. So I am going with a pothole.

The Gingerbread Boy kids book came to mind.

If you are in Canada: Timbits - they are made from the dough hole cut out of doughnuts and like Hajna Detre McGrath points out about a person running, people love to go to Tim Hortons and buy these. Timbits would make for an easier prop than an actual hole.

The appearance looks like a walking or running person so I will go with Forrest Gump.
