The Chinese have a phrase “As straight as a pen” to indicate that something is extremely straight with no curves whatsoever. Playing off this theme, think of a giant pen for this one.

Mitch McConnell, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, or Sarah Palin come to mind :D

I think I'll go with a straight jacket, since it is something an actor in the scene could wear, and it would be visually memorable.

If you care to share, I'd be curious to see that phrase in Chinese characters.

Thanks! I have patient teachers, open to my requests to them to improv sentences using a set of related characters. I asked for the final characters in Level 22 - 首 道 直 真 - with the added twist of using 笔直. She wasn't a fan of this one, but it helps me! Sharing in case of interest:
首先,这真的是一条笔直的道路。
Shǒuxiān, zhè zhēn de shì yītiáo bǐzhí de dàolù.
First of all, this is really a straight road.

Woo-hoo! I asked her to add vocab unlocked 一直. Here we go!
首先,你真的可以沿着这条笔直的道路一直走。
Shǒuxiān, nǐ zhēn de kěyǐ yánzhe zhè tiáo bǐzhí de dàolù yīzhí zǒu.
First of all, you can really walk along this straight path.
