How Can We Help?

To use speech recognition:

1. Tap the red record button once to start recording
2. Speak the Chinese word you want to look up clearly
3. Tap the button again to stop recording
4. The app will recognize your speech and display related words in the word cloud

Note: Make sure you've granted microphone and speech recognition permissions in your device settings.

Try these steps:

1. Check that you've granted microphone and speech recognition permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security
2. Ensure you have a stable internet connection (for downloading speech models)
3. Go to Settings → 忘字 and check "Speech Recognition Status"
4. If the model isn't downloaded, tap "Download Speech Model"
5. Restart the app if problems persist

The word cloud displays related words as floating bubbles:

• Main word (large bubble): The word you searched for
• Related words (smaller bubbles): Idioms, similar words, opposite words, homophones, and more

You can:

• Drag bubbles around the screen
• Tap a bubble to copy the word
• Long-press a bubble to view detailed explanation
• Shake your device to randomly select a word

Each color represents a different type of word relation:

• Main word - The recognized word itself
• Idiom - Related idioms (成語)
• Similar - Similar words (相似詞)
• Opposite - Opposite words (相反詞)
• Variant - Variant characters (異體字)
• Homophone - Homophones (同音詞)
• Contains - Words containing same characters
• Related - Related words

The Pro version unlocks the Word Explanation feature, which includes:

• Detailed word and idiom definitions from official dictionaries
• Standard Mandarin Pinyin pronunciation
• Text-to-speech in Cantonese
• Lists of similar and opposite words
• Ability to explore related words from the explanation view

This is a one-time purchase that unlocks the feature permanently.

If you've previously purchased the Pro version and it's not showing:

1. Go to the Settings tab in the app
2. Scroll down to "Purchase" section
3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
4. Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted

• 《成語典》 (Chinese Idiom Dictionary) - 2020 edition

These are authoritative, public domain dictionaries containing over 100,000 entries.
