Updating the New Standby CPU

After switchover, the new Standby CPU needs to have the coprocessor and OS updated. Repeat the operations performed on initial Standby CPU as described in previous topics:

Update the Standby CPU coprocessor.
Update the Standby CPU OS.
Perform a system switchover.

Hot Standby System Setup After Update

Setting version mismatch check and checking CPUs mode:

Step	Action
1	Connect Control Expert to the new Primary CPU (through Modbus, Modbus Plus or USB).
2	Set the Command Register system bit %SW60.4 to 0.
3	Disconnect the PC.
4	Verify that the Primary CPU is in Run Primary mode, and the Standby CPU is in Run Standby mode.
