How to Access the Diagnostics Function of the Weighing Module

Introduction

The module diagnostics function displays error messages when they occur, classified as follows:

internal (module inoperable, running self-test)
external (terminal block error)
other (configuration mismatch, module missing or switched off, channel errors (details in channel diagnostics))

A module error is indicated by certain LEDs changing to red, such as:

in the rack-level configuration editor:
- the module position LED
in the module-level configuration editor:
- the Err and I/O LEDs, depending on the type of error
- the Fault tab LED

Procedure

The following table describes the procedure for accessing the module diagnostics screen.

Step	Action
1	Access the module configuration screen.
2	Click the module reference in the channel zone and select the Fault tab. Result: The list of module errors appears. Note: It is not possible to access the module diagnostics screen if a configuration mismatch or inoperable or missing module error occurs. The following message appears on the screen: The module is missing or different from that configured for this position.
