Installation of the UnityLL984 Block Library in Control Expert

Overview

NOTE: Unity Pro is the former name of Control Expert for version 13.1 or earlier.

There are two different LL984 libraries: LL984 (with EFs names LL_••••), this library was used before Unity Pro V5.1 and not delivered with Control Expert. It was used only to convert Modsolft and ProWORX projects and Concept LL984 sections to Control Expert.

The latest version of this library, V4.1.17 is available from Schneider Electric services only (Please contact your local Schneider Electric correspondent to receive a copy of this library).

UnityLL984 (with EFs named L9_••••, L9E_••••, or L9P_••••), this library is used since Unity Pro V5.1.

In Unity Pro V5.1, V6.0, and V6.1 the UnityLL984 library was delivered with Unity Pro package but had to be installed separately.

From Unity Pro V7.0 and later, the UnityLL984 library is included in the Control Expert/Unity Pro libset.

Opening an Application (.sta File)

If you want to open an application (.sta file) done with Unity Pro V5.1, V6.0, or V6.1 that contains LL984 sections, you have two possibilities:

Use the last version of the UnityLL984 library
- Select Update with the latest version available in the Libset Version part of the opening windows.
- In the Build menu, select Rebuild All.
- Result: The last version of UnityLL984 library is used.
Keep the previous UnityLL984 library version
- Install the UnityLL984 library corresponding to the version used, that is V5.1, V6.0, or V6.1. (For installation detail, refer to Installing UnityLL984 Libraries).
- Select Keep project version in the Libset Version part of the opening windows.
  
  NOTE: No Rebuild All is necessary.

Installing UnityLL984 Libraries

UnityLL984 libraries are available zip files on www.schneider-electric.com or in Control Expert DVD.

NOTE: On Control Expert DVD, previous versions of UnityLL984 Libraries (V5.1, V6.0 or V6.1) are available in Previous Unity LL984 Library folder.

Follow these steps to install the UnityLL984 libraries:

Step	Action
1	Unzip Setup_UnityLL984Library_Vxxx(Unity Pro Vxx).zip in your local hard drive directory to get UnityLL984 library.
2	Click Start menu → All Programs → EcoStruxure Control Expert → Types Library Update
3	The Types library update window will be displayed:
4	Select the Family.dsc file from extracted folder using the button.
5	Select the Control Expert libset version (e.g. V14.0) you want to update. (To change the Library path please refer to Library configuration options.)
6	Click Install family button. NOTE: After successful installation of family, you will get a popup window showing The installation has succeeded. Click OK

UnityLL984 Library Online Help

If you have UnityLL984 library from Unity Pro V5.1, V6.0 or V6.1 installed before installing EcoStruxure™ Control Expert 14.0:

Uninstall UnityLL984 library.
Install EcoStruxure™ Control Expert 14.0.

If you have uninstalled the UnityLL984 library with already installed EcoStruxure™ Control Expert 14.0:

Run the repair function of EcoStruxure™ Control Expert 14.0 to reinstall the help for the (now integrated) UnityLL984 library.
