Exchanging Data With Another Application

This section explains how to transfer data from Trending Tool to other applications by using the copy and paste or the drag and drop functions.

The copy and paste or drag and drop functions enable you to set up a configuration in Trending Tool quickly. You can also use these functions in the data tables, FA diagram list and statistical data table, to easily transfer data to other applications.

To copy the statistical data table of a module to Excel, proceed as follows:

Step	Action
1	Display the data table of the chosen module.
2	Use the Select all... command from the Edit menu to select all of the module's variables. The color of the lines in the table will change, indicating that they have been selected.
3	Use the Copy command from the Edit menu to copy the statistical data table to the clipboard.
4	Open the Excel application, click on the cell where you want to locate the top left-hand corner of the data table and use the Paste command from the Edit menu in this application. The data table is fully pasted into Excel.

This procedure can be adapted if you want to copy and paste part of the data table information or the functional analysis lines.

NOTE: Do not attempt to transfer quantities of data that are incompatible with the capacity of the destination applications. For example, you cannot create Excel tables of more than 65,000 lines.
