The Trending Tool interface complies with Microsoft Windows ergonomic standards. For more information on the common Microsoft Windows interface commands, refer to the user documentation for your operating system version.

Trending Tool displays recordings in standard Windows windows which can be moved, maximized or changed into icons within the application's main window.

Each time you execute a command (for example; start recording or delete variable), Trending Tool will display general message boxes. You can choose to disable these message boxes in the display dialog box.
Dialog Box Options
The performance related general message is enabled each time you open Trending Tool.
The Dialog boxes tab in the Display options dialog box enables you to show or hide a number of general message boxes.
Deleting variables
If this option is enabled, confirmation is required each time you attempt to delete a variable.
Start recording without saving the document
Select the radio button for the desired behavior.
Before starting your recording, Trending Tool checks whether the file has been saved. If not, Trending Tool will:
  • ask you if you want to save the file
  • display the save as dialog box
  • start recording without saving the trend (autosave will not work)
OK
Close the dialog box and apply the changes made.
Cancel
Close the dialog box without applying any changes.
