Service Port Configuration for Adapter Modules

Configuration

Follow these steps to modify the Service Port configuration of an online 140CRA31200 or BMXCRA312•0 adapter module:

Step	Action
1	Launch the EtherNet/IP Explicit Message window.
2	Assign these Device Services parameters: Address: IP Address: Enter the IP address of the adapter with the SERVICE port you want to configure. Class: 0x400 Instance: 1 Service: Name: Set_Attribute_Single
3	Set the Port Control value: Attribute: Check this box. Attribute (field): Enter 1 (access port). Data (hex) (field): Enter a value that is based on the Port Control attribute definition. NOTE: To set the UINT value of 2, set the data field to 02 00 (low byte/high byte). If you enter 2 (port mirroring) in Attribute, refer to the next table. In port mirroring mode, the SERVICE port acts like a read-only port. That is, you cannot access devices (ping, connection to Control Expert, etc.) through the SERVICE port.
4	Leave the default values for these parameters: Enter Path(hex): Leave this check box unselected. Repeat(500ms): Leave this check this check box unselected. Messaging: Select Unconnected.
5	Press Send to Device.

Port Mirroring: Use these steps only if you chose 2 (port mirroring) for the Port Control value (above):

1	Set the Port Control value: Attribute: Check this box. Attribute: Enter 2 (port mirroring). Data(hex): Enter a value that is based on the Port Control attribute definition.
2	Accept the default values for other parameters (as before).
3	Press Send to Device.
