Locate a Backplane Slot

Install the 140CRA31200 adapter module in any slot in the remote I/O drop. Insert the BMXCRA312•0 adapter module in slot 0 only in the remote I/O drop.

Refer to the directions for installing a module on the backplane.

Power Consumption

Power consumption is 1.2 A on a 5 Vdc power rail on the backplane (6 W). The adapter module supports modules on 2 racks. (Power consumption has no relation to the number of installed rack modules.)

Select a Power Supply

When configuring the PLC station, use a power supply module that can supply power to all rack modules.

NOTE: You can place a power supply module in any slot on Quantum Ethernet remote I/O drop. In Modicon X80 Ethernet remote I/O drops, you can insert the power supply only in the double-wide slot to the left of slot 0.
