Lead Lag
(Original Document)
Description
The Lead Lag (or Leadlag) function performs a step advance/delay-type transfer function. This allows you to model the influence of disruptions and, in turn, to perform an anticipated process control in an open loop.
The Lead Lag function performs the following transfer function:
For a graded input, the output response is a function of T1_FF and T2_FF (step advance or delay):
Step Advance
The Lead Lag function is configured in step advance (T1_FF > T2_FF): the OUTFF output is ahead of the input.
Step Delay
The Lead Lag function is configured in step delay (T1_FF < T2_FF): The OUTFF output is behind the input.

Execution Monitoring
Monitoring the parameters of this function is integrated into the error management of the Feed forward branch.
