Calculation of the Position Value

Using an incremental or absolute position , the module calculates:

All the operations performed in the module are based on the angular value. The number of turns may be taken into account in the sequential program.

Position Encoder

The module accepts 2 encoder types

Encoder type	Characteristics
Incremental	500 kHz bandwidth multiplication by 4 line check
Absolute	SSi frame, any type of 8..25 bit format transmission frequency determined automatically reduction of resolution by 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32

NOTE: The cam module also takes parallel output absolute encoders (via Telefast ABE 7CPA11).

Associated Functions

In addition to the basic functions, the electronic cam module provides the following functions:

Captures	take various types of reading, such as: length of parts, number of pulses per turn, incoming angle of parts, slip
Compensation for wear	compensates for play when there is a change of direction of movement
