Access the DTM

Introduction

Some features and services for your module are configured with the aid of a device type manager, or DTM. You can access the DTM in Control Expert.

There are two ways to access the configuration screens for services provided by the DTM in Control Expert.

Step	Action
1	Open the Control Expert project that includes the appropriate module.
2	Open the DTM Browser (Tools > DTM Browser).
3	In the DTM Browser, double-click the name that you assigned to the module to open the configuration window.

1	Expand (+) the Project Browser to see the PLC bus (Project > Configuration > PLC bus).
2	Double-click PLC bus to view the assembled rack(s).
3	Double-click the module.
4	Click the Services Configuration link.

Before you configure the module in the DTM, select the DTM template that corresponds to the firmware for your module:

Step	Action
1	Left-click Version Selection in the CONFIGURATION menu.
2	Scroll to the appropriate version in the Module firmware version pull-down menu.
3	Press the OK or Apply Button.
