🧩 LABYRINTH CREATOR – Die Baumeister-Anleitung
- 🌀 Frei – gar keine Symmetrie, komplett freie Form.
Am besten also erst kopieren, dann zurückwechseln.

🧩 LABYRINTH CREATOR – The Builder's Guide
(or: How to become a builder for Wiggles yourself)
📖 The Story
Wiggles has already wriggled through countless mazes – built by the three magical builders Classic, Matroschka, and Architect. But recently he had an idea that wouldn't leave him alone:
"Why should it always be the three builders building my mazes? I bet YOU could do it too! And maybe you'll even build one exactly to my taste!"
Said and done. Wiggles brought you your very own tool: the Labyrinth Creator. Here you can either let one of the three builders work for you – or become a builder yourself and draw every single wall with your finger.
Ready to create your own maze for Wiggles? Then read on – here's everything you need to know!
🎨 Understanding the Grid
In the middle of the screen you see a 19×19 grid of small tiles – exactly as big as a normal Arcade maze in the game. Each tile can have exactly one of three states:
- Wall (filled) – Wiggles can't pass through here.
- Path (empty) – Wiggles can move freely here.
- Food (sparkling diamond) – a path tile that also has a diamond on it.
The outer border of the grid is always a wall – after all, Wiggles shouldn't be able to wander out of the maze! Right at the starting point there's also a small protected zone where a wall can never appear – otherwise Wiggles couldn't even set off.
🖌️ The Three Tools
At the top in the "BRUSH / TOOL" bar you choose what you want to paint onto the grid right now:
- 🧱 WALL – tap an empty tile and it becomes a wall. Tap an existing wall again and it automatically disappears! So you don't need to switch tools to undo something – just tap again.
- 💎 FOOD – works the same way, just with diamonds instead of walls: tap an empty tile to place a diamond, tap an existing diamond again to remove it.
- 🧹 DELETE – always clears a tile no matter what was there before. The handy "eraser" tool.
Tip: You can also drag your finger across several tiles instead of tapping each one individually – much faster when building larger structures.
🪄 The Three Builders
You don't have to place every wall by hand! In the "GENERATOR STYLE" row you choose one of the three builders you already know from the game – each with their own building style:
- 🏛️ Classic – many small pillars and winding corridors.
- 🪆 Matroschka – corridors nested inside each other like onion layers.
- 🏗️ Architect – clear "highways" and a good sense of balance, as if designed by a real professional.
Once you've chosen a builder, tap 🎲 RANDOM in the "ACTIONS" row (more on that in a moment) – and it instantly creates a brand new maze in its style.
🔄 The Symmetry Modes
In the "SYMMETRY MODE" row you decide how mirror-symmetric your maze should be. By the way, this applies not just to the builders – even when you paint by hand yourself, it gets mirrored automatically!
- ↕ Vertical – the left and right halves are mirror images of each other.
- ↔ Horizontal – the top and bottom halves are mirror images of each other.
- ✢ 4-way – all four corners mirror each other, the strictest and neatest pattern.
- ↻ Rotated – no mirror, instead the maze is rotated 180°: turn the finished maze completely upside down and it looks exactly the same.
- 🌀 Free – no symmetry at all, completely free form.
Note: If you switch the symmetry mode mid-painting, only what you paint from now on gets mirrored – anything already painted stays as it is.
🎲 The Actions Row: Random, Food & Clear
Tapping 🎲 RANDOM has your chosen builder create a brand new maze in the chosen symmetry mode.
For the Architect builder there's a little trick behind it: it doesn't just build a single maze, but tries 25 different ones in the background and automatically shows you only the most interesting one – with lots of junctions, balanced wall density, and long, exciting corridors. So you automatically get the pick of the best 25, without having to do anything yourself! Classic and Matroschka, on the other hand, always build a single, fresh maze directly – with no such pre-selection.
Don't like a result? Just tap RANDOM again – the next variant appears instantly.
Next to it, 💎 FOOD automatically scatters diamonds across the whole maze, matching your chosen symmetry mode. Same here: don't like the distribution, just tap again for a new random one. (This is a different button than the FOOD tool above – here diamonds get placed automatically for you, there you paint individual diamonds yourself.)
💥 CLEAR next to it wipes the entire grid clean and you start over with a blank slate (border only). This can't be undone, so think for a moment whether you really want to!
📊 The Status Readouts
Below the grid you'll find a small stats box that tells you whether your maze is really "valid" – meaning whether Wiggles can move through it without trouble:
- DEAD END – corridors that run into a wall, with no way out except back. Should be 0 for a good maze.
- 2×2 – large empty areas of at least 2×2 tiles. These make a maze boring instead of tricky, so should also be 0.
- TRAPS – bottlenecks that only offer a single path through (so-called "chokepoints"). These should also be 0, so Wiggles never gets completely stuck.
- FOOD – how many diamonds are currently in the maze.
- WALL Ø – the average length of connected wall pieces.
- DENSITY – what percentage of the grid consists of walls. A good maze is usually somewhere between 45% and 55%.
A green checkmark (✓) means: everything's fine. If you paint by hand, it's easy for one of these numbers to get out of whack – no big deal, you'll see it immediately and can fix it up.
🔢 The Code
At the very top you'll find a text field with a COPY button next to it. A code describing your current maze appears here automatically – and you can paste and load it later in the game itself!
There's a little automation behind this: there are actually two different kinds of codes, and you don't need to worry about which one you currently have – the Creator automatically picks the right one:
- Seed code (short, e.g.
K-V-19-384729) – shown as long as your maze is still exactly what the builder freshly built, and no food has been placed yet. Important to know: a seed code only stores the walls. If you load it later in the game, the game distributes the diamonds freshly at random – so they won't necessarily end up in the same spots as with you right now.
- Custom level code (longer, starts with
C-) – shown automatically as soon as there's food in the maze or you've changed something by hand. This code stores your maze cell by cell exactly, including every single diamond. Load it in the game and everything will look exactly like it does for you.
To play: tap COPY in the Creator, switch to the game, open Fun Settings there, paste the code into the input field, and tap LOAD. Done – you're playing your own creation!
Further below there's also an ASCII view of your maze (with its own, more muted copy button) – that's purely for the technically curious or developers, and not needed for regular play.
↩️ Undo
↩ UNDO (up with the tools) undoes your last brush stroke, one step at a time – handy if a tap goes wrong.
🚪 Exit & Back to the Game
Top right in the header, ⏻ EXIT takes you back to the Labyrinth Creator's start screen (with START and INSTRUCTIONS) – your current maze stays intact as long as you don't leave the page entirely.
At the very bottom of the tool (and already on the start screen) the 🎮 BACK TO GAME button takes you straight back to MazeWorm itself. But remember: this closes the current Creator page completely – if you haven't copied your maze yet, it will be lost! So best to copy first, then switch back.
