Server
|
Name of the server to which the variable is connected. This field stays empty if the variables are calculated variables.

Item
|
Name of the item as it was defined for the connection to the server. This field also stays empty if the variables are calculated variables.

Name
|
Name of the variable. You can change this name by typing a new one in the editor.
|
|
Nature
|
Selects the nature of the variable from the three options in the drop-down list. Input corresponds to variables of the automated system entry type or analyzed command system entry type. Output corresponds to automated system outputs or analyzed command system outputs. Internal variable is the type allocated by default to variables by Trending Tool.

|
Mnemonic
|
The variable's mnemonic. The mnemonic is a short text describing the variable. You can change the mnemonic by typing new text in the relevant field in the editor.

Comment
|
The comment on the variable. The comment is a long text describing the variable's role. You can change the comment by typing new text in the relevant field in the editor.

OK
|
Closes the dialog box and apply the changes made.
|

Cancel
|
Closes the dialog box without applying any changes.
|

Apply
|
Applies the changes made without closing the dialog box.

Display format
|
This section specifies the type of diagram to apply to the numerical variable.

Simple curve
|
Represents the developments of the variable as a thin line.
|
|
Area
|
Represents every development of the variable as a full rectangle.
|
|
Series of values
|
Represents every development of the variable as a horizontal line with the value displayed above it.
|
|
Colors
|
This section enables you to configure the display colors for the simple curves and areas in the trend diagram mode.
|
|
Normal
|
Selects the display color for the curve or area when the value is between the minimum and maximum values.
|
|
Exception
|
Selects the display color for the curve or area when the value is outside the range defined for the minimum and maximum values.
|
|
Scale
|
This area enables you to set minimum and maximum values for the display of the curves and areas.
|
|
Minimum value
|
Check the box by the heading to manually set a minimum display value. Once the box is checked, the text editor to the right becomes active and enables you to type a new value. In Trending Tool, the default minimum value is the lowest value in the whole of the recording.

Maximum value
|
Check the box by the heading to manually set a maximum display value. The Maximum value field is similar to the Minimum value field.
