Time synchronization for Peer-to-Peer Communication
NOTE: With CPU firmware 3.20 or later
the NTP service is not used for time synchronization.
The safe Ethernet PAC-to-PAC communication requires both the sender and receiver PACs to share a common safe time.
The following figure describes the sender and receiver PACs time sharing principle:
In Control Expert, configure:
a communication for Sender to Receiver for Data transmission
a communication for Receiver to Sender for Safe Time transmission

An internal safety time (NTP independent) is distributed by the CPU to its local and remote safety IO modules.
