Check the system requirements of the workstation.

Check that the Windows session used to install or update Control Expert has administrator rights.

Perform a back-up of all current applications and settings before updating Control Expert.

Check that the latest Windows Service Pack is installed.

Check that the latest Windows Security patches are installed.

Disable temporarily all the antivirus services (real time, scripting, etc.).

Check that the language required with Control Expert is available with Windows, for example, Chinese language for the Windows operating system.

Close all running applications, (including the current version Control Expert when updating).
