Communication via Modbus Plus is used to exchange data between all the devices connected to the network.

The Modbus Plus protocol is based on the principle of Logical Token passing. Each station on a given network is identified by an address beween 1 and 64 and each station accesses the network after receiving a token. Duplicate addresses are not valid.
