The following describes the materials you will need and the preliminary steps you need to take before installing the certificate server.

Materials You Will Need

You will need the following items:

• Microsoft Windows™ Server Manager: This can be freely downloaded from the Microsoft website.

• Microsoft Windows Active Directory Certificate Server (ADCS): This software is included as part of Windows Server. You will need to purchase a license for it. The BMENUA0100 module supports server versions 2016 and 2019.

• The file TemplatePackage.zip, which can be downloaded from Schneider Electric.

Preliminary Software Installations

Run the ADCS installation file, then follow the several prompted steps to create a user and password.

Server Manager should come pre-installed on your host PC. If not, it can be freely downloaded from the Microsoft web site.
