Introduction
You can update the firmware on the Ethernet communications module by downloading a new firmware version with Unity Loader.
The firmware download can be performed by connecting to the Ethernet network through ETH 1.
Refer to Unity Loader, User Guide for a description of the download procedure.
Enabling the Update
To enable the firmware update, check the security settings.
Firmware File
The firmware file is a *.ldx file.
Procedure
Update the firmware for the Ethernet communications module and the BMEXBP••00 rack:

Install Unity Loader software.

Connect the PC that is running Unity Loader to the Ethernet communications module.

Launch Unity Loader.

Click Firmware tab.

In the PC list box, select the .ldx file that contains the firmware file.

When connected with Ethernet, check that the MAC address indicated in the PLC box corresponds to the MAC address marked on the connected device (PLC or Ethernet communication module).

Check that transfer sign is green to allow transfer from PC to connected device.

Click Transfer.

Click Close.
